Meal Prep ! (04/28)

Meal Prep Complete!

I haven't meal prepped in a long time, and it definitely felt more like a chore than a hobby doing it this morning. Or maybe because it's Monday today :P

So I started off small, because I'm not a fan of always having 3-day leftovers.

I started with: 4 tilapia filets, 5 chicken filets, 1 1/2 cup of white and brown rice mix, and 1 pound of kale-salad mix.

Today I made tilapia kale-mix salad with poppy seed dressing for lunch, and pan-friend seasoned chicken filets with a brown and white rice mix for dinner. There will also be an assortment of veggies that go with that, but I took the photo before cooking them.

I'm sorry if these don't look as "appetizing" or "too healthy" (as my boyfriend said), I know I suck at my food presentation :P

If you're wondering why I've suddenly changed up my eating again, it's because I am starting my new 6 week program; Bikini Booty and Summer Body

Don't forget to check it out here, and download your copy below!

04/26 - Grocery Haul of the Week!

Sometimes it's hard to imagine that I can eat ALL this food in roughly a week!

I LOVE grocery shopping. Mainly because I know I have the ability to control what I get to eat for the next little bit, it also allows my "nutrition-geek" side to come out and play :)

For this week, I only have a photo of my haul. But I'm hoping in the next couple weeks I'll be bringing videos to you of my grocery hauls :D

So from this weeks haul I've got the staples:
  • Frozen and fresh strawberries
  • Broccoli and mushrooms
  • Cucumbers, Tomato, and Zuchinni
  • Greek yogurt
  • Chicken filet and tilapia filet
  • Smoked salmon

And a few new things that I don't usually have:
  • Organic, gluten free bread
  • Kale and broccoli mixed salad
  • Annie's Creamy Shell Mac and Cheese (I probably butchered that)
  • Garlic flavored Risotto

I'm not a huge fan of box Mac and Cheese, but I hear great comments about Annie's M&C, so I had to give it a try when I found it in stores!

A challenge of mine is to use up all my food without letting it go to waste. So this week, it is my goal to try and utilize as much as possible for my $65 grocery haul :D I'll be looking up some new recipes for my tilapia, and meal prepping roughly 3 days worth of meals at a time.

The Bikini Booty Summer Body Challenge is Here!

Aloha!

I am very excited to announce to you guys that the 6 Week Bikini Booty Summer Body Challenge officially starts Monday (April 28th, 2014)!

The workouts are fun, result-driven, and increases in intensity as the challenge progresses.
It's an assortment of weight training at the gym as well as cardio conditioning and ab workouts that can be done outside or at home.

To answer all the questions you might have...

Q: What does the challenge include?
A: 6 weeks of detailed workout plans, progress trackers, over 30 pages of healthy eating guideline tips, my top 10 recipes, and workout diagrams to show you the exercises performed.

For a sneak peak at what the challenge includes, click here

Q: What is the objective of the challenge?
A: To achieve your summer body with a bikini booty (through hard work and determination) from weight-training and abs and cardio conditioning.

Q: Do I need a gym membership?
A: Yes, you will very likely need a membership. There are many free weight exercises, but there are exercises that require machinery as well. The challenge also includes at home workouts.

Q: Will I get bulky muscles?
A: No, you will not get bulky muscles! For women, it's hard to build massive muscle size like men do because of the lower testosterone levels in our body. Instead, lifting weights will help build lean muscle, and can help us appear to look more slim, toned, and with curves too.

Q: How many times do I have to workout?
A: 4 times a week

Q: Should I change my diet?
A: You don't have to change your diet; however, diet is one of the most important, if not the most, factors when it comes to changing your body. You can spend many hours exercising, but if you are putting bad or not-so-great food in your body, results won't come and your body will reflect that. I recommend eating healthier, and incorporating more fruits and vegetables into the diet, and also making sure you are getting enough protein (for muscle building). And drink PLENTY of water!

Q: What can I get out of this program?
A: A re-newed body, that you are more happy and confident about, a better knowledge on healthy eating, weight lifting, and nutrition. Plus all the prizes to be won! (Will be announced later next week).

Q: How much does the program cost?
A: $6 USD. And you can download it right here to get started now!

Can't wait to see your transformations!

What to Expect in the Upcoming!

Happy Easter Weekend!

I'm back to tell you that the blog is now off hiatus - and hopefully I'll be posting on a more regular basis again! :)

So to give you guys a quick look at what's to come in the short future and further into the summer
    1. Continuation of daily workout posts - posting my daily workout routines were a big hit on the blog, so I plan on continuing to do that! I do have to admit that I spent a lot of time trying to make it look fancy and pretty, and it really wasn't time efficient. I may take another shot at it again, but sometimes keeping it nice and simple is the way to go :)

    2. Keeping some of the old things the same, I want to add new things to make the blog more exciting. For this reason, I'm going to start posting more grocery haul photos and videos, and hopefully even some fitness clothing/related item hauls (depend how tight on cash I am going to be this summer haha)

I can get a little crazy during grocery shopping, so that's always fun to watch! And what girl doesn't love shopping!!

    3. They say that the best way to represent what you do is to have and show what you're selling. I'm selling a 6 week bikini booty program right now, and I will tell you that I don't have that bikini booty. That's the whole reason I have designed this program, and the reason why I'm going to do it myself.

Sure sure, I can trial run it on myself this summer and then release it next summer, but who wants to wait another year to feel 100% comfortable and happy at the beach in their swimsuit. So that's why I am eager to get it out this summer, and to trial run it on myself to show you guys the results. The workouts are all based off of and in combination with new workouts that I've put together, so I know they work.

Here's a sneak peak at what's in the program:

The official release date will be sometime during the lats week of April, but you can pre-order it in the meantime at a discounted price

    buy

    4. There's also going to be giveaways of all sorts in the next few months, varying from food to clothing, shopping sprees, and all other possibilities! So stay tuned for more news on that!

    That's all for now everyone!
I hope you're all as excited as I am!

    Cheers!

    Update! (04/13)

    Wow!
    I can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted - I'm so sorry!
It definitely felt weird at first not posting on a daily basis, and now it feels weird to be back!

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update on what's new and what's been going on lately!

    • Exams are in full swings right now! This means that for the next 12 days or so I will be: drinking lots of coffee, taking my Proteenie supplements (details below), not getting much sleep, probably working out less than I would like to, and studying, studying, studying.

    • I am very fortunate enough to be partnering with Proteenie, a fast-growing company built by two strong, beautiful women who are creating supplements for women. I'm currently using the products myself, and I am very happy with the results :) As a student, it can be hard to focus for 10 hours of studying every day. The Work.boost (green package below) has helped me stay awake, as well as stay mentally sharp and focused - without the coffee! This also helps with my higher-than-normal stomach acid levels when I get stressed around times like now.
If you are interested in Proteenie products, enter the
discount code selly15 for 15% off your order! :)
    Proteenie: supplements for women designed by women;
incredible products that help boost the spirit, shape
bodies, and promote overall well being

    • The challenges for my boyfriend and I are starting to get iffy - hehe. We're both so busy! It definitely hasn't been our top priority to eat our best and workout as much as we can. But that's okay - because that only means there's room for improvement :)

    • The Bikini Booty Summer Body workout program is nearly finished! I want to make sure that it holds up to the promise of fun and exciting, result-driven workouts, that will be done both at home and at the gym, as well as tips and guides that will assist you in your workout and eating habits to achieve the best results! Pre-order and official release dates will be announced soon!

    That's all for now!
I will be back in a couple more week with even more exciting news!

    Cheers for now!
    xoxo
